I am sorry and in prayer over the loss the people of the town of Greensburg have suffered. While we have been inconvenienced by persistent rain, muddy roads and tornado threats at least we have our home and health. We were headed for the basement when yesterday's tornado headed east instead of north out of Hutchinson. Well 24 hours later, the flood waters have hit Hutchinson, if you follow Cow Creek upstream from Hutch it has accumulated about 20 inches of rain plus run off! Now there is 6 feet of water going over 56th street in Hutchinson flooding some houses, churches and schools. 
Sigh. It sure has been a spring! The school actually called to see if we wanted the kids sent home early in case our roads were flooded shut. They were sending the country kids home. Fortunately for our kids, it did not flood our way yet, so they could stay at school. (Besides, I have finals to grade!)
